Interns of the Weeks: Quinn Angell and Ryan Lunt!

Raye Maddox here, Intern Manager, here to present to you some neat, great, cool, nice, awesome Interns!! One is a newer intern yet has risen to the rank of Thursday Night House Manager quickly, the other is the most solid asset on Saturday Nights! Both have netted a $20 bar tab, four tickets to any show at Dallas Comedy House, and this neat, great, cool, nice, and awesome blog feature! Let’s break it all down and break into Quinn Angell and Ryan Lunt!

Where is your hometown?

Quinn: Dallas!

Ryan: I am from Midlothian, Texas.

What level are you in?

Q: Level 2 Improv [Editor’s Note: At the time of this interview. Quinn is now in Level 3!]

R: I am currently in level 3 improv.

What’s something you’re passionate about?

Q: I'm passionate about Theatre and History. I love how all these different aspects, such as lighting, sound, direction, as well as acting goes into creating a good show.

R: The thing I'm the most passionate about is comedy. I love performing different comedic art forms and I love making people laugh.

What’s the best food?

Q:  I absolutely adore pizza.

R: The best food is steak. I love the taste and texture.

What’s the worst candy?

Q: Peeps. They are an abomination that must be exterminated.

R: The worst candy is dark chocolate. I don't like the taste.

Favorite movie?

Q: Young Frankenstein partially because of the legendary Gene Wilder and Mel Brooks, but also because of the exceptional work of Marty Feldman, Madeline Kahn, Peter Boyle, Teri Garr, and Cloris Leachman, and the rest of the cast. Together they created one of the finest comedic works ever.

R: My favorite movie is Jim and Andy because it's a fascinating look at one comedian trying to get in mindset of another comedian.

What’s just the worst?

Q:  I hate drivers who won't use the turn signals WHICH IS ON EVERY SINGLE CAR. THERE IS NO REASON TO NOT USE IT TO ENSURE PEOPLE KNOW THAT YOU'RE ABOUT TO SUDDENLY LURCH YOUR VEHICLE OVER INTO THEIR FREAKING LANE.

R:  The worst thing ever is not having money. You can't do anything.

Give me dating advice please.

Q:  Just go up to someone and hand them a shoe and walk away. Works every time, half the time.

R: My dating advice is don't be creepy unless your date is into that sort of thing.

Quinn Angell can be found on a Thursday night instructing interns on proper stamping technique and probably giving sweet compliments to everyone! Talk to him about theater and other things!

Ryan Lunt might be found on Saturday nights! He’s kind enough to swap shifts often so who knows when and where you’ll actually find him! Talk to him about cats and others things too!

Raye Maddox is the Assistant to the Martha Jean Foundation (MJF) and the Intern Manager. He finally watched- have I talked about Black Panther yet? Can somebody go back and see if I mentioned it in a previous blog somewhere? Like I don’t want to inundate you with how good this movie is, but I know I’m not the first person you’re hearing this from.  You can see him do improv in Midnight Passion, The Revenge Society, and Deep Dish. He also hosts the free monthly variety show Block Party every last Wednesday of the month!
