Where is your hometown?

Ali: Rowlett, TX currently living in College Station.

Tru: I was born in Jackson MS, but raised in Champaign IL, and moved to Texas from Colorado.

What level of classes are you in?

A: Stand Up Level 1.

T: I’m in Stand Up Level 1 and I am enjoying it very much.

What’s something you’re passionate about?

A: I'm studying Environmental Geoscience and Meteorology at Texas A&M (WHOOP!), so anything weather or climate-related, I'm all about it. I think it started when I watched Twister as a kid and I've been obsessed with earth/atmospheric science ever since. I mean, sex is great but have you ever spent two weeks watching a tropical wave evolve into a fully fledged hurricane? It's almost too satisfying. When I graduate I think I would like to be involved in climate science outreach of some kind or maybe work with different cities to help draw up disaster protocols or emergency planning.

T: I am very passionate about making people laugh! I love to make people laugh, and I’m also very passionate about my children.

What’s the best food?

A: Any food with a lot of garlic. I don't trust anyone who says that a dish has too much garlic. While we're on the subject, pineapple belongs on pizza. I don't care what anyone says, I will die on that hill.

T: The best food is home cooking!

What’s the worst candy?

A: Candy corn is awful. Even the smell makes me want to gag. I want to know who walked into a meeting and pitched the idea for candied corn.

T: I think many would agree black licorice...

Favorite movie?

A: Any wonderfully horrible disaster film, obviously. My top three in no particular order are Day  After Tomorrow, Dante's Peak, & Outbreak.

T: My all time favorite movie is The Color Purple. It has one of my icons in it, Whoopi Goldberg, and it has purple in the title.

What’s just the worst?

A:  I came home one weekend and found out that my mom gave away my entire Goosebumps collection... Since then I tried to start my collection over again, but it's not the same.

T: The absolute worst is sitting in traffic for more than an hour.

What’s some good advice?

A: “Ambition is the willingness to kill the things you love and eat them in order to survive." - Jack Donaghy, 30 Rock

T: My best advice would have to be never think it is too late to do what makes you happy! Also there’s so many things out there to love! Why spread hate?

Ali Van Fleet is one of the best! Her face is always cheery and her attitude is always merry! New to Dallas Comedy House, she’s been a fantastic addition to the House Crew! You can check in on her on Saturday nights!

Tru Wisdom is outstanding, and, like a summer pop song, a surprising hit! House Managers love her, come see her on Thursday nights!

Raye Maddox is the Assistant to Couch Cushion Certification and Licensing, but, ultimately, is the Intern Manager as well! He enjoys many things, like reading books and comics. Right now, oh boy, he’s getting real deep into Hellboy. You can catch him running tech for the new main-stage sketch show: Self-Aware? I Hardly Know Her!, and performing in troupes like Midnight Passion, The Revenge Society, Kill Me Please, and Gerald!
