Let's Show Houston We Care

"Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." - Maya Angelou

Dallas Comedy House will be initiating some efforts to help our neighbors in Houston through this tough time:

  • 100% of Sunday night's ticket sales will be donated to Dallas County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD).
    • Sunday, September 3rd,  will include a special 8:00pm Hometown Houston show featuring DCH performers whose hometown is Houston. Please contact David Allison at, if you are a student or performer from Houston that would like to participate.
    • Additional donations will be accepted
  • Through the month of September, all shows will be free for residents displaced by Hurricane Harvey flooding.
  • We will be holding a Food Drive for non-perishable foods for North Texas Food Bank (NTFB). Drop-off boxes will be in both the theater and Training Center lobbies starting tonight through Sunday. (Aug. 29-Sept. 3)
  • We'll be joining Central Track's #DTX4HTX efforts with 20% of all sales on Wednesday, September 6th, added to a lump sum donation with other Dallas-area businesses going to Trusted World.
  • We have offered Houston's Station Theater our help in whatever they may need in the coming months. Future volunteer opportunities will be posted.

If you aren't able to make it to DCH this weekend, our friends at ComedySportz Dallas are donating 20% of their proceeds from their Saturday shows and are accepting additional donations. OKC Improv will be donating proceeds from the Friday, September 8th show, as well.

We are so grateful for our Dallas community and our neighbors in Houston. Let's show Houston that we care.  If you have any questions or additional ideas on how to help, please feel free to reach out to
