WHAT'S THIS SCENE ABOUT? (Two Part Workshop)  Sunday, September 16th & September 23rd 10am-1PM You're 30 seconds into the scene and you're having difficulty finding what the scene is about and you're not sure what to explore and heighten. This workshop will focus on making simple strong choices early in the scene, then recognizing possible things to heighten, and finally making choices that will inform all subsequent action. It's rare that there isn't information to explore in a scene, but it's all too common that we don't hold onto our initial choices and therefore the scene starts to get inventive or inorganic.       $50 (total cost for both workshops!)

USING PHYSICALLITY TO CREATE CHARACTER   Saturday, September 29th 10am-1PM  When it comes to building character an easy approach is start with a physical choice and the rest will follow.  In this workshop, a simple physical choice will help inform vocal quality, point of view, want, and disposition to create deep, rich characters.  Also covered is the art of being a funny straight man and how to serve strong characters in improv scenes.  ($35)
